Frequently Asked Questions

Is Elucidate a charity?
Elucidate is a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission (ACNC). We are bound by our constitution to serve all Australian students with the support they need to achieve at school. We have no shareholders, no dividends and all profits are reinvested.

I have an amazing product or service that could be of use to Elucidate - can I donate this?
We are open to all kinds of support! If you have something amazing you produce or are able to provide, reach out and we will see if we're a good match. Examples include the local Yochi frozen yoghurt store providing free froyo to our amazing volunteers!

Email us at hello@elucidate.org.au to see if we're a match!

I have questions about our donation, who can I talk to?
We're a small team but we're always open to questions about your donation. Give us a shout at hello@elucidate.org.au and we can schedule a time to answer your questions.

Do you have an annual report?
Yes, you can view our annual reports any time here and see the impact we are creating.

How do you govern your organisation?
Our organisation is governed by a constitution to ensure your funds are used only for the purposes of advancing equitable education. We are a registered charity with a board of directors comprising of several independent directors to ensure the charity is operating appropriately in line with expectations.

Is my donation tax deductible?
Unfortunately, at this stage your donation is not tax deductible as we are not a deductible gift receipt status. In short, the government has strict rules on what charities can receive tax deduction status (e.g. political parties, churches, universities). We are a charity but at this stage are not of DGR status. We are however, working with our lawyers to obtain DGR status.
