About the Opportunity

As Elucidate is a not-for-profit organisation we rely on the generosity of support from donors and volunteers. • Humanities (Modern History / Economics)

  • Business (Business Management and Enterprise / Accounting)

  • Special needs and disabilities learning

  • Online / distance learning

Roles and Responsibilities

The role is a low-commitment but critical role to defining our learning strategy.         In this role, the Education Advisory Board (“EAB”) will meet 4 - 5 times a year with the management team to report with the following purposes:

  • For Elucidate to report on the progress of development of educational content in the related subject areas;

  • For the EAB to provide feedback on ways to improve the existing content and advice and guidance on content development;

  • For the EAB to provide guidance on future syllabus changes that may impact educational content delivery; and

  • For the EAB to provide feedback on how Elucidate is being used in a classroom setting.

Outside of the scheduled EAB meetings, Elucidate may from time to time reach out to potential members of the EAB on the following:

  • To provide ad hoc advice on newly developed teaching content; or

  • For the EAB to provide introductions to potential partners / networks that may support specific education projects.

What’s In It For You?

While this is a voluntary role, if successful, you’ll play a part in shaping our charity’s learning content development to support more than 23,000 Australian users and 82,000 users worldwide with free learning. In addition, Elucidate will provide:

  • Opportunity to make a large-scale education contribution at an EdTech startup with a social mission of delivering free learning content for all Australian students;

  • Meeting other like minded teachers in the profession;

  • Be eligible for the opportunity to join the Board of Directors;

  • Be invited to the annual Elucidate celebration event and meet other volunteers and supporters.
